Dacos GmbH has been recognised as an international specialist in commodities management since the 1980s. Having been taken over by SAP in 1994 as an ideas foundry, the emphasis of the business shifted to behaviour simulation.

The company's founders are specialists such as Professor Joachim Hertel, Professor Joachim Zentes and Professor Jörg Siekmann. Professor Dr. Hertel heads up a team that currently consists of 30 outstanding scientists and established practitioners in the fields of software engineering, marketing and sales.
