dm invests in SAP and Simulation

The increase in the value-added tax compounds "the pressure to operate efficiently and productively in your own business, as well as with partners", says Erich Harsch, Vice Chairman of the executive board of the dm-drogerie markt. This means the development of an integrated software-infrastructure with SAP-Retail for dm in all dm-countries in 2007. Harsch sees the use of the Retail Simulation Engine as an "important innovation". This software from Dacos should provide better simulation possibilities for assortment-decision makers and help, "fulfil our customers expectations". In addition, Harsch announced "comprehensive investments for the development of our logistics", with regard to capacity and technologically.
