Prof. Dr. Joachim Zentes

Prof. Dr. Joachim Zentes

Professor Zentes, joint founder of the "new" Dacos, holds the chair of Economics and Business Administration at Saarland University, specializing in Foreign Trade and International Management, since 1991. He is also Director of the Institute for Trade & International Marketing (HIMA) at Saarland University.

In addition, he is Department Director of Economic Science at the European Institute of Saarland University. In collaboration with the H.I.MA., he conducts numerous projects in the subject areas Category Management, Customer Relationship Management, Supplier Relationship Management and Supply Chain Performance Management by commission of the retail and consumer goods industry (here particularly noteworthy T-Systems and SAP).
Prof. Zentes is recognized as an expert in the trade and consumer goods industry for his work in both research as well as in economics and is therefore also active in numerous supervisory boards.

 

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Wolfgang Wahlster

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Wolfgang Wahlster

Prof. Wahlster is chairman of the executive board at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence in Saarbrücken, Kaiserslautern, Bremen and Berlin. In addition, he holds a chair for Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Information Science at Saarland University. Among other things, he is responsible for the innovative field of ICT in the Research Union Economy – Science of the Federal Government and is bearer of the German Future Award, the German Federal Cross of Merit, first class, as well as being a member of the Nobel Prize Academy in Stockholm.

 

Michael R. Levy

Michael R. Levy

Michael R. Levy most recently was the founder and subsequently CEO and then chairman of ProfitLogic, Inc., the leading provider of markdown pricing software in the United States. Prior to that he was a systems vice president for Coleco, Inc., a Fortune 500 company in the U.S.

He has more than thirty years industrial experience which includes the design and manufacture of guidance elements for the Apollo Moon Shots. His academic training is in mathematics and computer science.

 

Waldemar Jantz

Waldemar Jantz

Waldemar Jantz has over 21 years experience in venture capital. In 2000, Waldemar Jantz founded the venture capital company Target Partners, together with partners Dr. Berthold von Freyberg and Kurt Mueller. From 1984 to 1993 he was with TVM Techno Venture Management. From 1988 to 1993 he headed up the TVM office in the USA and from 1993 to 1999 was Managing Partner of the TVM group in Munich.
With TVM, Waldemar Jantz was primarily involved with the IT industry. He invested in more than 30 companies, of which 8 were listed with NASDAQ, the New Market (Neumax) and the Zürich Stock Exchange. Before joining TVM, he was a qualified Operations Director and worked for two German computer companies in technical and marketing capacities. Waldemar Jantz is also a member of various supervisory boards.
